Can you spare 2-3 hours each week?

If so and you have parenting experience you could be the right person to join us.

Home-Start (Hull) is always looking to recruit volunteers to support families in their own homes with at least one child under the age of five.

We are currently running a training course and our next Volunteer Preparation course will commence in April 2012, dates and venue to be advised.

The course will run one day a week from 10.00am - 2.30pm over 10 weeks and will cover various topics including Safeguarding Children, Domestic Violence, Drug Awareness, Working with Children, Supporting Parents as well as information about Home-Start and the role of the volunteer within the scheme.
